The Office of Orientation and Family Engagement is supported by the efforts of students from multiple disciplines and departments.

Week of Welcome (WOW!) LeadersÌýat the University of Tampa are a group of energetic and dedicated students who assist in welcomingÌý new and returning students and their families to campus. WOW! Leaders have a unique role in helping implement the orientation program through skills learned in required training before fall orientation. Because they are some of the first faces incoming students and their families see, their role is critical to the experience. WOW Leaders are required to attend training before Week of Welcome and New Student Move-In. Spring 2026 Week of Welcome Leader applications are open now and will close Monday, Oct. 13. Benefits of serving as a WOW! Leader includes:

• Receive compensation of $14 per hour
• Being the first person that students and families meet when they arrive on campus
• Developing and building leadership skills, including customer service
• Having the opportunity to network with other students, departmental faculty and staff and University administration
• Approval to move in early to your on-campus residence hall room (Early move-in does not guarantee on-campus housing.)Ìý
• Provided meals, beginning with lunch on Jan. 14 through dinner on Jan. 20
• Receive Week of Welcome exclusive items, including but not limited to long-sleeved shirts and items designed specifically for WOW! Leaders

ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ DiplomatsÌýplay a vital role in Fall Weekend and Commencement, the other two signature events of our office.
