UTampa offersÌýconvenient, acceleratedÌýgraduate programs for current students and alumni.

UTampa is the place where tomorrow’s leaders – from just around the corner to the far reaches of the globe – come to learn, develop and network. UTampa is home to renowned Ph.D.-level faculty and highly ranked graduate professional programs.

ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ takes a holistic approach to graduate admissions, carefully reviewing all materials in an applicant’s file. Our goal is to admit students who demonstrate a strong potential for success in their chosen graduate program.

Holistic admission means we evaluate the full application, considering the whole person and the context of their experiences and environment. While academic achievement remains the primary factor in our decision-making process, we also consider a variety of additional criteria that contribute to a student’s potential for academic success.

Admission Requirements and Decisions

Each graduate program is housed within a specific college or academic department, which sets its own admissions requirements and minimum standards. Detailed admissions requirements for each graduate degree program can be found in the Graduate CatalogÌý().

Admissions decisions are made by a faculty committee within the academic department or by the graduate program director. The Office of Graduate and Continuing Studies oversees the application process, collects all required materials, and supports the academic departments in reviewing applications.

Once all required materials are received, the completed application is forwarded to the appropriate admissions committee or program director for review. Most admissions decisions are made within 2 weeks uponÌýof receipt by the academic department. Some programs may also require or request a personal interview before a final decision is made.
