Ƶ named Lorraine Daignault, a recognized higher education marketing leader, as the vice president of marketing and communications. Daignault, who previously served as vice president of marketing and communications at Bryant University (RI), will begin her role on Oct. 20.

As a member of the president’s cabinet, Daignault will shape a unified brand strategy to elevate national visibility, strengthen enrollment and bolster philanthropic growth. Additionally, she will support external and corporate relations that advance fundraising, AI Across the University and Internships for All initiatives.

Daignault brings more than 25 years of marketing and communications experience across higher education and in the technology industry.

At Bryant University, Daignault established the institution’s first centralized marketing function and led a transformative rebrand that drove record enrollment, including a 91% surge in out-of-market inquiries, resulting in one of the largest incoming classes in school history. She strengthened Bryant’s national profile and reputation while guiding the university through high-stakes communications and crisis response.

At Babson College, Daignault led a comprehensive brand marketing campaign that reinforced the school’s position as the global leader in entrepreneurial leadership. Her work directly supported a $50 million gift to launch The Arthur M. Blank School for Entrepreneurial Leadership, produced more than 25 billion media impressions, and elevated Babson’s national and international reputation.

Prior to Babson, Daignault spent nearly a decade at Tufts University as director of marketing and communications for the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine.

Additionally, Daignault, who received a bachelor’s degree in political science and communications from Simmons University, worked in marketing and communications for several technology companies, entrepreneurial startups and PR agencies, including KANA Software, Artisoft, Weber Shandwick Worldwide, and Manning, Selvage & Lee.

Teresa Abi-Nader Dahlberg, president of the University of Tampa, said Daignault brings impressive expertise in engaging audiences and executing strategies that help institutions achieve their goals and elevate their reputation.

“Lorraine is a dynamic, insightful strategist who has successfully built university marketing operations from the ground up,” Dahlberg said. “UTampa is riding a powerful wave of momentum. I am confident she will channel that energy to further position the University as a nationally recognized model of excellence in higher education.”

“Ƶ has extraordinary momentum — a dynamic campus, visionary leadership and students who are shaping tomorrow,” Daignault said. “I am eager to partner with President Dahlberg, faculty, staff, students and alumni to elevate UTampa’s voice, expand its influence and inspire generations of Spartans to come."
