UTampa To Hold 160th Commencement Ceremony on May 10

Ƶ will honor more than 2,600 students at its 160th commencement on Saturday, May 10, during three separate ceremonies at the Expo Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds.

The ceremony for graduates of the College of Natural and Health Sciences will take place at 9 a.m.; the ceremony for graduates of the College of Social Sciences, Mathematics and Education and the College of Arts and Letters will follow at 12:30 p.m.; and the final ceremony for the graduates of the Sykes College of Business will take place at 4 p.m.

Between the three ceremonies, there are 2,384 bachelor’s degree candidates and 257 master’s degree candidates — 2,641 in all. The ceremonies also recognize the master’s candidates who will officially graduate in August.

At the morning ceremony, Carl Wilmarth ’77, owner of LaTech Equipment, will give the address, and Sofia Cuello ’25 will deliver the student challenge. In the 12:30 p.m. ceremony, Scott Leonard ’87, musician of the group Rockapella, will give the address, and Nicole Massey ’25 will deliver the student challenge. In the last ceremony, Laura Simon MBA ’05, M.S. ’11, assistant vice president of Sompo Insurance, will give the address, and Vassay Mubeen ’25 will deliver the student challenge.
