Overview
ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ works together with the University of South Florida and the Air Force to provide leadership training in the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC).
The program's primary objective is to commission future officer leadership in the United States Air Force. AFROTC consists of structured study of aerospace science, leadership training, special activities and field training.
Two-, three- and four-year programs are offered. Students can qualify to earn AFROTCÌýscholarships, which can provide up to 100 percent of tuition and fees, as well as money for books and living expenses.
Any college student can start the AFROTC program with no obligation to serve in the military. Upon program completion and college graduation, cadets who meet specificÌýeligibility requirementsÌýcan become second lieutenants in the active-duty Air Force.
TheÌýthree- and four-year programsÌýbegin during freshman or sophomore year and require completion of a four-week field training course after sophomore year.
Interested students should check their eligibility and contact either an Air Force ROTC advisor at the University of South Florida (see contact info below) or the UT Admissions Office. Veterans, graduate students and those with prior ROTC experience are encouraged to ask about accelerated programs. Additional information is also available atÌý.
